These 2 boards flikers when i connect them to my vogatek iv supergun. the image rolls but i can hear sounds.

do you know which game is the 2nd one?? the first is "funny bubble". are they safe to test in my real cabinet? maybe the problem is the vogatek card?

Check the obvious first, all chips are socketed correctly (the correct way around, all pins are in the sockets). any sign of broken legs, scraped tracks on solder side.cathaldub2014-05-26 15:44:31

Worth checking voltages are all at +5v, anything much over can damage the boards, anything under might not supply enough power to run the board. Superguns generally use ATX power supplies which aren't adjustable, so the supergun might not be giving it enough juice. The ones with the rolling screen I would check the voltages, and if they are low then try it in your cab.

I checked for something but i can't see anything unusual. every chip is in its place and no trace has been cut.
I'll check the flickering boards on the cab, if the voltage is the problem. thanks.

Pang - if you have an EPROM programmer, verify the contents of the graphics EPROMs.

Snow Bros - sounds like a video RAM fault. Not sure which one though off the top of my head. :)

Sorry, i'm really newbie.
edit: i tried to follow some advice from another bootleg to enter test mode, i think i made a mistake or something because now the board says RAM error and won't boot.

also, compared to an almost equal bootleg, is missing many eproms. maybe i'll just give up on this...

----

just checked the 2 boards on the cab.

the uknown one still flickering badly.

funny bubble is somewhat working, not perfect but the image is more "still". Is like 'shaking', can't explain better.
