Removing English language stickers from taito si2 cocktail

Bit of an odd one this, but it's been bugging me for years....

I have a taito si2 cocktail, and basically I'd like to remove the English language 1 player/2 player stickers on the control panel. I've always been a bit loathe to do this in case I damage the panel underneath

Is there a reliable way to get these off or should I just confine to ignore it. If doesn't affect anything at all really, I would just prefer the Japanese original labels which are presumably hiding underneath

And yes, I know the p2 button is cracked - weirdly that doesn't bother me as much as the labels

Warm up with a hot air gun of some type and then peel from the corners, lastly wipe any left over glue with googone or similar.
