That's the wrong link mate!

I've fitted that 4.5' in the subwoofer case but you basically have to remove all the plastic inside the case and then secure it in the case using foam, then you can squash the case closed and screw it up.....the 4.5' does sound nicer than the 4' but I found I had to put a fan over the low pass amp as it now gets really hot!......But then I've also wired a transducer to the small amp too while I wait until I can fit a larger SUB amp from a D2 DX for louder bass.

Gary, the replacement you need is the 4' cone for simple fitting and it's this one:

I've just fitted the above 4' speaker in another subwoofer case and all that's needed is to remove a small stand off and crimp a new larger spade connector to replace the small spade connector on one of the wires.

Glad it worked OK though Neil.

I'll test the sub when I get some free time. Unfortunately I'm working this weekend.

Well, I fitted the sub back into the seat tonight. It's a little quiet when complimenting the larger front speakers when using the 'eq amp' I have installed on my SR2 tbh.

So if possible, I'd also like to get the sub setup so it's independent of the front speakers, my ID cab has the ability but not these Dual amp setups it seems.

Hi Vamino,

I totally agree with you on the volume levels.

To get the output I would want from the sub the other speakers are far too loud.

Right now, I'm concentrating on trying to get the test and service buttons working on mine as there is nothing when I try and press these.

I have no idea if this will have any on screen settings for volume or not?

I've also downloaded the full manual and will give this a read over tomorrow.

There is a volume setting for the music in the service menu, but I think it only sets the volume level through all speakers rather than independently from the subwoofer.

An option is to use another of the same single channel amps. In theory it should be easy to use the front and rear amps as normal but splice the game music into a 3rd amp, connect a volume pot to it then go from that amp into the low pass amp. I've got some spare amps here so I'll give it a go when I get my head around what wiring is needed.

The music in Sega Rally 2 comes out of the front speakers.......But I can't remember if the music from Scud race comes from the front or the rears speakers though.

Sounds super complicated but I would love to know how you get on. As the balance between the sub and the speakers is way off.

On my Scud the sound effects are up front and the music at the rear, with the sub linked to the rear volume control. So to have the sub at a decent level, I am deafened by the gull wing speakers.

Anyway it's all progress and another part of my cab which wasn't working when I got it but is now.
