Bought this a while ago and it needed some work
This is how it was when I picked it up from Matt, cheers dude
Obviously
it spent some time stored at the old barn where it took on a few new
additions, cobwebs and mold so its needs some work before its worthy.
All cab hoovered, cleaned & polished, good as new ish.
Rust and missing paint/chrome galore, so out with the new toy again
And
as again, a top result. The steering wheel has some deep pits but I can
live with it and again a sh*tload of work was saved. The above took
30mins
Didn't want to mess about with re-chrome on the wheel so out came the shiny paint again
Nasty
cigarette burns allover the top of the dash, sanded most of them out
and god did it smell of ancient tobacco. Sad as I was guilty of doing
this too bitd
Sand blasted to give it a bit of texture back and a bit of satin black to bring the colour back
Had to do the bolts and screws too, all done around the cab (obvious ones
)
Lovely Control panel, I have some 'clean anything' spray with lemon oil. Smells good, produces a brilliant shine too
Also
did the speaker grill & pedal. Speakers are fooked, cones are
ripped away on all 3 speakers too, what a coincidence, have replacements
for the top two which are on my list of things to do later.
Monitor
had vertical collapse, culprit found to be a 10uf tantalum capacitor
but picture looked shyte, regardless of adjustments so I swapped it for a
9000. Boardset cleaned and semi working, lots of yellow on screen. All
eproms/cpu/ram cleaned and reseated and we have the correct colours
Bulbs
replaced on scoreboard (which is working), marquee & gauges. Coin
slots cleaned & lubed, now accepting old 10's & 50's
Ready to join the rest. Still a bit to do and I need t sort the speakers as I think there is also a problem with the sound.
