I'm sure i saw a post about this once but can;t nail it on search so my apologies if this has been seen before...

Looks like ive sourced a replacement glass top for my taito bootleg table top, so ill need to spray the back of the glass new in black with the hole for the monitor,

so any tips for this? best paint that wont scratch when the glass moves against the wood when fitting, tips for masking the hole?
anyway any tips at all madly appreciated!!

thanks!

Whilst we're at it, it may be nice if anyone has any nice pacman vinyls/ artwork that could go under the glass before i put it back on?

or should that be in wtb?

I did this about 10 years since, so the details are a little sketchy i.e. I can't remember if I got some special paint to do the job, but I do remember I brush painted it on, and needed 2 coats.
One thing you do need to do though is don't scrimp on the masking tape - frog tape is well worth the money!

The result I had with mine was outstanding, it looked really awesome.

What you need to do is lay the glass on the table UPSIDE DOWN so you can mask of the areas exactly around the monitor. Just to double check, turn the glass over to be sure the masking still lines up with the monitor!

Don't forget to create areas for the instruction cards too...

Hope this helps - good luck!

Personally I don't use paint for this job..

In the past I have used a back vinyl wrap to cover the entire area and then you simply cut out areas not needed, I found that it gives a much better finish than paint and doesn't flake off or scratch easily :)
