And after

Nothings changed really, apart from the cab types lol. Problem is the BAS are about 150mm wider than an electrocoin is. Also got the 2 little woodies to decide on - whether they stay or go is the question.

I am wondering what to do myself, I need a machine collecting from up that way and the speakers from Glasgow, Don't know weather to hire a van or see if martin can do it, might need to get the stuff done next week though, or may have to wait a few

BAS cabs were supposed to happen a while back, then we stumbled upon the electrocoin haul. For the record, I much prefer BAS cabs to electrocoins, but once my garage was filled I had nowhere for them to go.

Haul consisted of ~8 Goliaths, 4 Centis, 7 Midis, 1 Goliath shooter and 2 alca type midi woodies. Still got 2* alcas, 3 midis, 2 centis, and 4-5 goliaths to move on. Grobda has since got the midi driver (Bootleg Sega Hang on) up and running, looking pretty reasonable in its present form.

Martin is awesome as always although I haven't seen him since the Duke, and haven't had him deliver anything for almost a year, just had to add to this thread.

Can I say a big thanks to Martin for delivering my Asty machine yesterday. Had a really good chat with him about arcade stuff and whatnot. A real pleasure and a really nice guy too.

Many thanks Martin, another successful visit, and my word what a battle to get the beast up my sloped with steps front garden (on a steep hill). A battle that hopefully should be worth it, cetainly given me food for thought that maybe I should not buy full size tall cabs!

Unfortunately I was working and unable to be home when Martin dropped off my cab.

But I felt compelled to say that Martin seemed a thoroughly nice chap over the phone, didn't complain at having to meet my Mum (rare occurrence) and delivered my cab in one piece, what else could you ask for!? :)

Evening All,

Just a quick (well no so quick) update on a couple of things:

My Knee: I had the operation at the end of November and things went well and recently returned back full time into the cab moving business. I've also been back to see the consultant and he's very happy with the progress and i've now been discharged.

I need to build up the my knee and make it stronger as i've still got the dodgy crutiate ligiment damage, so still taking things easy when i can.

My Help: Due to the workload whilst i've been off, my brother in law has done a few deliveries to UKVac members and others who all seemed happy with his work, so i will be calling on him again if required in the future. However, any job carried out will be discussed with the buyer / seller first.

Like Me: Whilst off, i've put together a facebook page (Retro Logistics) which will hopefully spread the word to a wider audiance, showing them what i do and what i get involved with. The page includes a few historical items and will hopefully be updated with new stuff on a regular basis.

Therefore if any facebookers would like to take a look and LIKE the page if indeed you do actually like it, and please share with as many of your friends as possible as i would like to share what I and YOU do within this community. Thanking you in advance and feedback welcome via PM.

https://www.facebook.com/RetroLogistics

Finally, a big thank you to all who have supported me through the last few months and a even bigger thank you to all who have entrusted me with their machines over the last few years. I now hope to be back into top gear with collecting and delivering and my communications service levels, but if you have any questions or queries, please please call me on 07748 521550.

All the best for 2013

Warmest Regards Martin.

Glad to hear your Knee is on the mend, I'd hate to think you might not have been able to stuggle up my hill and steps with a future cab once the games room arrives.

It was my first dealings with Martin yesterday, top man, handles things with care which sadly not all delivery companies do, I already have job number 2 lined up for him & I'm sure many more in the future as well, well done Martin
