Got my Project cab yesterday , I have so so much to do. Lots of brick walls at the minute :-

1) Scart screen , Works but looks like may be a no go on actually using it with VGA !
2) Bloody coin mech is a C220B - Cant just pop it out and replace it (Going to wire it up first see if I can get it going , No credit board so will be single credit and thats fine if i can. Oh and there is no loom ! ).

Dunno if it would be possible, but did see someone who built a mame cab once, and they used a 42" TV flatscreen, but mounted vertically, they used the top third as the screen with the rest obscured, gave a nice big 4:3 image

Lol, just mentioned this exact same thing in his thread about connecting Scart to VGA, although Ive seen it used where they put dynamic marquees on the top of the screen and had the picture in the middle, bottom part obscured.,

Yeah that could work really well, don't think Ridge racer has a marquee above the monitor, so no size restrictions

Actually if anything the lack of Marquee above the monitor is going to hamper the size that could fit as he will only be able to go so far down due to the Steering Mech being in the way, unless he puts the monitor really far back in the cabinet, having the Marquee space above the monitor would give you some empty space to shift the monitor up.

Yeah I guess it depends how far back the steeting mech sticks out, if its the happ spring one its not very deep monitor might just squeese in behind

Bloody thing got bounced back and forth between Ireland and England like a ping pong ball, but thanks to stoker's persistence, 17 years later I got a cardboard box.
Its easily the best empty cardboard box I've ever gotten!

Yes!

This operation was similar in complexity to the channel tunnel. Truly an achievement we can both be proud of.

Already got a working sprint 2 PCB and now I have the control panel to go with it.
Going to build a desktop version like I did with the missile command.
Will need to sort out separate pedals but since they are just on/off switches it should be easy.

Also hoping this will work with the rally race PCB if I ever get that working.
