Always keeping myself busy, ok it wasn't this week as I've been making some other stuff but I needed something to hang parts of to spray paint instead of trying to hold it with one hand lol, after scrapping the cheap whirlpool bath i had the metal box section from it which is even rubbish and not very thick so it was going to get scrapped until I had an idea, why not use it to make a frame on wheels to hang my car and arcade parts on while spraying so I got cutting it up and working out a design, I had the vision of cloths rails like in shops which I could just buy one but that's money and when I take early retirement hopefully next year this is stuff that helps
Cut it up and got the welder in action, no parts where quite long enough hence bolted together at top, then Its what to use to hang the items on easy so have a look around, great the metal bars from my Glass TV Stand I scrapped, they where long enough welded together in middle so used the to thicker ones for the top as I have heavy car control arms to paint, bit of metal from base of old LCD TV for centre support.
Thought I'll put it on caster wheels, perfect as I've got some from wood table that got a bit burnt and sawn up for firewood in log burner.
Then I thought some other bars across to hang more smaller bits on would be good, so I use the thinner 4 from TV stand and welded together, wanted them to be easy to remove if I had longer parts so trying to work out a way, found 3 small metal plates from washing machine I scrapped which are threaded already and just happend to match thread on the bars, so used two which I welded on the left side and driller hole through right side, so I just push through the right hole and then screw into the left plate, then welded a nut on threads one end so it's easy to wind in, nut on right side you can tension it to hang lighter items on
Was going to be left outside so I painted it with some metal paint had for years when done new gate, then decided I could alter height a inch lower and can wheel straight in shed, middle bar isn't in the photos, but can have 2 or 3 hangers depending whats needed
Final Cost £5 buying some end caps for the box section
