UKVAC meetup at Arcade Club Bury interest check for September / October?

Potentially interested, any date should be ok for me but it's always the same issue for me - travel. Anyone going that would be coming up from down south and passing by Leicester/Loughborough?

im in Derby so only 20 mins from you. I could swing by if you can go on the date once its decided. Also collect Neo Geo, so if your seling anything let me know!

i am probably never going to attend one of these, but i will say, i would pay a LOT extra for a hotel when it isnt a school holiday and there isnt loads of brats running about or clogging up machines

i feel like if someone insults a score of mine, i may turn up stealthy and beat scores, someone on charliefars twitch actually knew who i was once, which was a bit odd, as i was just playing without speaking to anyone

@MonkeyJuggleDX If I can make it depending on the date, I can come up the M1 rather than the M6 from Buckingham. You'd have to put up with my nearly adult son's flatulence and my taste in hard dance music in the car though. We also stay overnight in the Premier Inn too, so you would need to factor that in.

Just an update on this.

@u72 has agreed to open up the new part of Arcade Club Bury early at 10.30 just for the ukvac group meet.
The new part of AC importantly is Adults only as there will be 40 hand picked cabs in there such as iRobot, Major Havoc and Quantum to name a few. Interesting.

So 40 cabs, pin's and pool tables with no kids running about yay! If you're like me and nearly been bowled over by one of these blessed cherubs then you'll understand what I mean!

The best part is you pay £15 pre pay only so spend the extra few quid on a drink or food? I'll post up details for this later.
If you turn up on the door then it'll be £18

I'm still looking for feedback on a date for the UKVAC meet from one of the Saturdays mentioned in the first post but with the Timewarp Arcade meet in mid November I'm leaning towards mid October for this. I know some people can definitely not attend mid October so my apologies. My reasoning is I know a number of people are looking at attending both meets, but not everyone can possibly afford that if these are close together so will attempt to keep both meets about a month apart. I think £120 return train journey from London to Bridgwater was mentioned by DaveR? So just getting to Timewarp may be a Bridgwater too far for some? Boom Boom, I'll get me coat.

Let me know your thoughts guys?
Nothing is set in stone yet but am looking at Monday to post in the Meetup section so there's adequate time for people to make arrangements / fill in their diaries etc.

Will likely be the 18th October as that seems to be the most popular date. Over 2 months away so plenty of time to plan it / stick it in diaries / people to negotiate with their OH's ( if needed lol)
