Wells Gardner Chassis

this rather dirty and scabby Wells Gardner chassis was actually working when it was tested but the lopt had a little tiny blue flame on the side of it so it was about to burn out, and seeing as it was so dirty I thought I'd give it a make over

work to be carried out = strip down, clean chassis & metal parts, cap kit, new lopt, change the 2 pots with rusty legs and anything else I come across

well I've seen a lot of people do the 'washing in the sink' thing so thats just what I did, I ran the chassis under the tap and used a thin soft 1" brush, the dirt came off straight away with just the running water, this will be drying out near my radiator for a week though

only just got round to building this back up again !

shame the tube is knackered, maybe a rejuv? maybe a new tube...

sorry to bring up an old thread,but what model is this wells gardner chasis,i have one exactly the same,im looking to re cap it works but takes 10 mins to warm up

A cap kit may or may not fix that issue. I've a few (Hantarex) monitors that are fully cap kitted but take 10 minutes to "warm up" to a reasonable picture. I suspect the tubes need a rejuve.

thanks for the advice mate,there is neckglow on the tube,as soon as you start it up,so im hoping it is a cap
