This is fantastic thanks. The mystery wires on my chassis that aren't connected should be attached by a connector that's nearest to the flyback transformer, shown in picture 2. It would appear this is broken off/missing. I have the deflection coils connector (which is nearest the voltage regulator heat sinks in picture two) and the filament/K connector, but not a third connector. This could explain why the monitor isn't powering up. I'll give this a go!
