Calling all Zx spectrum users!!!

I have purchased 2 rob to scart leads from different companies on eBay and the latest one from retro computer shack still does t work. All I get on the screen are lots of bright coloured lines both a very faint image.

I just sent them an email to say it isn't working so just waiting for a reply.

Where do you guys buy your leads from? I just want to play the bloody thing. The tv has been tested via scart with a DVD player and works perfect. I have also tried a spare spectrum +2 grey one with the same results.

Please help before I smash this bloody thing to pieces. Why is it so difficult to get a lead to work!!!!?,?,,

It's the 128+2 grey one. The tv is a Samsung I think 14" portable. It works fine with DVD player and have tried 2x spectrum 128 with same problem. Tried it on my Panasonic 37" led tv and the picture is really shaky but you can see the picture.

I bought this to use on my 14" tv.

How come other people are able to use them? I have also tried it on another 14" tv but no luck.

Using the aeirial lead just gives a fuzzy picture but good sound or or perfect picture fuzzy sound which is why I bought the scart.

Thanks for the offer. Just waiting to hear back from the company that made the scart lead to see if they have had any problems with them.

I don't know if this is any help? http://mts.speccy.cz/doc/128_rgb.pdf

Just in case, have you tried all the AV channels as it may not be the one you think it is?

Also, you will be surprised how many newer tv's just can't display any old signal types even though there are connectors on them. Manufacturers get lazy and leave off termination resistors and stuff.

Even though I can buy cables ready made for things I always end up making my own anyway.
