The divider ones like the 081 and 082 look pretty obvious... I haven't looked at a 504... if it's 28 pin and like the afore mentioned then I could probably knock you up a couple...

UPDATE: It seems I actually looked at this a few years ago...

Attached Schematic... I've not validated this and it might have some errors. Might be do-able... I'll have to check to see if I have a real one to validate against.

PS

Kicker seems to have a 504.... I'll look at that when I have time.

Wow, thanks very much. I've just spent some time staring at that circuit diagram.
FWIW It must be incomplete since there is no pin 7 and I know a real 504 does something on pin 7. It's curious that I have that schematic... I have no idea how I drew it.
I know there was a daughterboard replacement for the 504... "PWB 4000206A" but I have no idea if I have one or have ever seen one! Of course the daughterboard may also be only an incomplete representation of a real 504.

I found a PWB 4000206A in the loft! So I have reverse engineered it... see attached schematic.

It's pretty comprehensive but doesn't implement pins 15, 18, 19 and 27 so there is still some mystery (these pins are needed from some games but not most).

I've asked at KLOV to see if anyone will help me... otherwise I think I will have to guess!

Sean from Classic Arcade Repairs has already posted the Gerbers on his Patreon page for reproduction Konami 502, 503 and 504 daughterboards if that helps anyone.

I didn't know that; I really enjoy Sean's videos on YT but I'm not a Patreon supporter of anyone so don't have access. I did actually draw out the PCB from the schematic above and it does appear to match. I can share that if people want it.

Nice work, I missed some of this thread and only just caught up, I was going to suggest to try one of my logic modules like the one I designed for Macro, but you have made your own.

Where did you get the IC Legs / Pins / Leadframes from please ? (they look really useful).

Also, did you have to buy the specific atmel programmer (I've got one but never used it yet) and how did you get the code built ? - I'm aware there is a tool to convert altera/quartus > atmel programming files.

I have a limited stock of IC pins which I got from the manufacturer years ago; sadly they won't sell me anymore and I haven't found a distributor. Once they are gone they are gone.

I did buy a ATDH1150USB-K for programming. Currently I am using a timed trial of ProChip designer but will switch to Quartus later.

So... I think I have a working model of a Konami 504...

My Representation

I made guesses for pins 15, 18, 19 and 27 which I am pretty happy with... I think this is complete and would work on anything... moving to hardware next.

@cliff_poole if you are interested... PM me.

Not sure if Jotego shares his schematics for the misterFPGA stuff but it might be worth contacting him to compare notes. Think Track and Field and also Hypersports have been done now, plus a few others.
