Not sure if it's in my head or not at the moment, but I can't recall a year when we've had so many "storms"? They're nothing in comparison to elsewhere in the world, just not really used to a few nights of 80mph wind here?

i dont want to be one of those "climate change" people, but we have had some extreme weather in the last few years here, i remember it being 38 degress a year or so back and you could barely get a breeze into a room, we have also had some pretty damn cold days as well

the storms and winds just seem to be another one of those, im lucky i am up north and the wet weather doesnt affect me as much at the moment as we are used to it

The last few years have been rather unsettling for sure. Seeing roofs torn of multiple buildings definitely wasn't something you'd imagined around here a decade ago.
A couple of years ago it hit 70mph here one morning and put an entire cricket pitch cover (with metal frame and wheels) over an 8ft wall and smashed it into a neighbour's house.
Our lighthouse lost it's top it and the pier has been out of action since Storm Babet a couple of months ago.
There's always been the odd bad storm, but I'm absolutely convinced there's many more of them now.

Completely agree with this.

We’ve always had bad weather, but the frequency seems to happen more often.

Also, I think we seem to have wild swings in temperatures nowadays. It can go from freezing, to quite warm (and visa-versa) in such a short period.

The problem with YouTube is that you'll always find an 'expert' to re-inforce your point of view.

No media programming here, I've a good memory, I know when streets are littered with roof slates and entire roofs peeled off halls like tins of sardines and it's all been in the last 3 years.
The problem is TV only provides one view and it's the fear they want you to live in, Paul provides a second view

Why are there no debates on TV apart from GBNews, It's all the science is settled, this is how it is, believe or your a nutter. Paul has been on GBNews lately debating with that Jim Dale who provides nothing to back up the mainstream side, people need to at least listen to more than what the Ministry Of Defence shove out through MET Office but this is the problem most still trust the TV. Well I don't anymore, had enough years of listening to that shite but I'll listen to both sides debate it and decide after, not before

You also have this side of it to look at, that was 1952

1952 Floods It's there in history, so what can they do now with weather:sneaky:

Crikey I can't even remember if I saw a OutRun in my Local Arcades and that was important memories so something like weather i'm not going to take much notice of but some past weather events I do remember from 1970's 1980s

Some roads that were flooded from time to time in 70/80s and i've not seen them anymore flooded in last 30 years, think we have some photo's in old albums of it under the bridge as it was bad that time,
The local park not far from that bridge was once so flooded in the 80's guy was rowing his inflatable dinghy on it, it was at least half the park flooded and those fields could fit a few football stadiums in, never seen that flooded since

I remember laughing when were out in the garden at first house one year, it was really windy, my brother and the 2 girls next door ended up on the grass with the whole fence blown on top of them :ROFLMAO:

I'd say in the late 70's or very early 80s, it was roasting one year at seaside, there was millions of ladybirds flying around as one bit my brothers arm as he had big lump come up, thats all we saw was ladybirds so assume it was one

and last one which was late 90's, was Sunday after typical Saturday out drinking, was at mates, we walked over fields to Petrol station and then back to park, it was lovely sunny day, just got to park entrance and this storm came from no where, crazy wind like now, clouds came over it was like nearly dusk in mid afternoon, we rushed over to the building as it started thrashing down with rain, Thunder and Lighting, then as quick as it came over it was gone, no rain, wind and sun again but all around the building was flooded

The local park down from me and fields around it flood when ever we have loads of rain, not seen it any worse in last 20 years i've lived here, where they had it bad with last storm was other end of my village, one area has flooded years ago because there is a brook there, which did flood not long ago again, the rest was new housing estate which was build on old fields, you only have to look at how many housing estates have been built on flood plains

It's the TV, lads. When the wind picks up now they put a name on it and try to frighten you.

Whenever there's a report on a flooding, a storm, a forest fire or a heat wave, the words "climate change" must be used near the end, so the idea lingers in your head. They're told to do this.

Weather is fukd. Can't be doing with it. Phone says 12°C yet -5°C the other day seemed less cold. Duvet, pizza, chips and brandy.

Prety much the same but my Wife is called Kim not Brandy ! Also always windy here as I have diverticular disease !!

On a serious note though , Yeh we had some strange weather. Not as much snow as we used to though so thats a plus as I have an hours drive to work every day. Unsure if it climate or just change.

Dave.

To be honest they could stick me on a poster as the Perfect Citizen for their Climate Agenda, apart from not believing the bullshit anymore

In the week I hardly leave my house, fed up of driving all weekend in Company van (we end up driving a few hundred miles a day through complete incompetence of others working there, doesn't seem to matter to the company though even though they will promote saving the planet and the places we go that push it all don't care about there own carbon footprint either, all a crock of shite anyway
I've been on a plane once to Zante for 2 weeks, it was just under 40c in early 2000s
Been on one Ferry to Amsterdam
I don't have my Heating on hardly as I don't like giving 1000's to Gas supplier, only thing on gas is Boiler
If I go somewhere to pick up things I try and do 2 or 3 pickups in the same day
I walk to local shops and post office, even with heavy boxes
Got Solar Dehumidifier to keep arcade building dry instead of having electric one plugged in for months
My old cars are irrelevant what ever the emissions are as I hardly use them and when you change engine to lower emission one they don't care because it's not about Clean Air it's about getting older cars off the road that people can afford and are paid for
Nearly everything I buy is second hand unless I have to buy it new

Amazes me that most believing all this Climate nonsense will be the ones driving round in Range Rovers and the like, going on holidays twice a year, buying new clothes monthly etc etc and when they realise that Climate Agenda is reducing all of travel so no holidays abroad, work from home, walk to shops, stay local in the 15 minute city and lockdown when the next Virus comes as planned they'll be saying why didn't someone tell us about this o_O

please humour me and watch this Drax Biofuel Plant Video from Paul Burgess, quite interesting stuff

In the 90s there was that really windy day. On the way home from school a giant spinning metal road sign missed my head by centimetres. Mortal Kombat level of fatality narrowly avoided 🤣
