The Earth is but a small spec of dust in relation to the Cosmos. Whether by design or by accident, there's a fantastically designed system put in place that keeps it running like clockwork and within parameters that are way above and below what that graph is showing. The equipment used to create that graph is not going to be accurate throughout all of the years that the Earth has gone through it's temperature changes.View attachment 15050

Whilst that graph looks nice, the single biggest thing that affects the temperature of the earth is the Sun.
Sun goes behind clouds or isn't in sight (for example at night) the EARTHS temperature reduces, if there's high solar flare activity, the UNIVERSES temperature rises.
Common sense tells me that oil is a natural occurring resource that the Earth produces to lubricate itself to reduce seismic disturbances and it's also a substance that insulates the crust from the molten hot core. Common sense also tells me that it's not a finite substance made from dinosaurs. The other 'stuff' in there is also there for a reason, not just for making car batteries and mobile phones. Take this oil out at a rate greater than it's produced, would this not cause earthquakes and also heat up the planet which in turn causes greater gusts of wind?
The atmosphere keeps stuff in and most stuff out.
It's a complicated system that is quite robust.
