Okay Moon Landings and Flat earth as so many keep bringing it up. so many will quote all the scientific woo woo stuff at you but I've learned over the years that keeping things basic is better

The official NASA photo of earth

View attachment 16497

So this was from Apollo 11 1969 Yet no photo's of Earth from Moonlanding???

To me if I was going for a vacation to the moon, there would be a few very important photo's, Me on the Moon, Me on the Moon with Earth in background and some proper photo's of Earth. another thing is moon is around 4x smaller than earth so if your near the moon wouldn't earth look 4x bigger than the moon does from earth?

It's interesting they landed on the side of the moon facing earth yet photo is over horizon of the moon, which side of moon they take off from?

I asked someone how they packed the moon buggy, sorry LRV Lunar rover vehicle in that tiny space craft and they said it was a kit, they built it when they landed :ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO: I also asked about the moon boot soul in museum that doesn't match the foot prints on the moon, they said they had boot covers on the moon boots

and the LRV was Batter powered, good technology they had in 1969 battery wise, Power was provided by two 36-volt silver-zinc potassium hydroxide non-rechargeable batteries developed by Eagle-Picher with a charge capacity of 121 A·h each (a total of 242 A·h), yielding a range of 57 miles (92 km).

How Heavy was the LRV
460 pounds
Built by Boeing and General Motors for the last three missions of the Apollo program, the moon buggy is fantastically lightweight compared to modern electric vehicles, clocking in at just 460 pounds (210 kg) Earth weight (this translates to 77 pounds, or 35 kg, once on the moon).

And yet there was intense debate within NASA about whether a television camera should be carried in Apollo 11’s Lunar Module, as it would add weight to the spacecraft. Eventually, a black-and-white Westinghouse camera with a 16mm lens was approved. Deployment of a TV camera to transmit signals to Earth became one of the additional flight objectives of the mission. But we got a 210kg Dunebuggy on it

How did the astronauts stay on the Moon without gravity?
There is gravity on the Moon. It's 1/6 of that at the surface of the Earth, but what goes up generally comes down. The astronauts wore heavy, with oxygen tanks and other equipment, which helped keep them on the ground. They developed a sort of hopping from foot to foot gait, or kangaroo jumping.

Good job the LRV was lightweight then, It stuck to the moon surface like a Dune buggy in the Desert:LOL:

How many moon buggies have been left on the Moon?
Three

Three were transported to and left on the Moon via the Apollo 15, 16, and 17 missions (LRV-1 to 3), with the fourth (LRV-4) used for spare parts for the first three following the cancellation of Apollo 18. The rover used on Apollo 15 was left at Hadley-Apennine (26.10°N 3.65°E ).

Yeah why bother taking new batteries and using the one already there when you can take a whole new one each time instead of other stuff

https://www.eaglepicher.com/technology/battery-chemistries/silver-zinc-batteries/

Sounds like they should be using these in EV cars instead the HEAVY Modern Firecracker ones

I'd like one of these Nikon Camera's

If i'm talking bollox, feel free to correct me

It's all good fun and people need to laugh more at it all I think
Shouldn't this be in 'off-topic -mental' :)

This is part of the problem Bods. You're free to evangelise as much as you like - it's calling the rest of us out as being thick that tends to grate on the nerves a bit. I'll resist from name calling - partly out of keeping things civilised, and partly because I worry that the 2 short planks might sue me.

I'm not saying anyone's thick, as I said until it affects many there not aware or not interested

After last 4 years everyone should be questioning what's happening, if you watch TV everything is pretty normal apart from the usual Government Lies and Cover ups. Like I was before all this started, was too busy just living my own little world, not really looked into why some things didn't add up but that made me start looking and listening to other people

If some don't want to it's fine but there so quick to label others Conspiracy Theorists for questioning everything but why not question everything?

But lets keep laughing about it all

I can understand what you are saying. I'm sure it makes people feel empowered rather than simply one of the lotus eaters.

But lets not assume that questioning everything as you put it, is a good thing. In the case of conspiracy theories (take your pick) the popular discourse is now littered with misinformation in the form of books, interviews, Youtube clips - you name it. Therefore somone looking for answers, will certainly come into contact with the official version and many, many alternate versions. They will also be served up a bunch of pro conspiracy content by YouTube's algorithm as these videos have higher engagement and watch times. (this is not a conspiracy but an established fact, based on analysis from ex YouTube employees)

I don't think that's progress. I find it all a bit depressing tbh, that with unprecedented access to information people are using it to question if the earth is round, or if we have actually been to the moon or not.

Did you know arguing with conspiracy theorists causes global warming due to the co2 from all that wasted breath

You are quite right. Anyway:

A conspiracy theorist dies and finds himself in heaven, quickly he rushes over to god..

Conspiracy theorist: God! God! Finally I've waited so long, you can tell me who shot JFK'
God: It was Oswald.
Conspiracy theorist: My god, this conspiracy goes right to the top!

Whether you’ve called me thick or not - I don’t like being patronised. The general ongoing theme recently appears to be that a lot of people on this forum are zombies that fail to see what is going on in the world.

You appear to set yourself apart as someone that is prepared to question everything. You infer that, unlike you, I and others like me, Iive in our own little worlds. You say that you’ve looked into things that don’t add up. Ok, fair enough - you’re not the first person that’s asked themselves: if the world is a sphere, why don’t we all fall off? Your answer: the Earth is flat. Again, fair enough - you’ve looked at it, weighed it up, and that’s your conclusion.

Being curious about the world is how we learn. So all good. The issue I have is the inference that I haven’t bothered to ask the question. I’m like you (before you saw the light). That maybe I have been too busy. Mate - I haven’t been too busy. I’ve done the same as you, asked the questions, looked at stuff as best and as objectively as I can.

I draw different conclusions to you - that’s it. It’s not that I’m too busy / lazy / so far unaffected by stuff that affects you. The difference is that I don’t come on here spouting off about any of this, then calling people out that disagree with me as living in their own little worlds.

I’m not laughing. Because it’s not funny.

I've not aimed anything at anyone personally if you choose to be offended it's not my fault, It's like going to a Chubby Brown show and being offended but no one made you go, anyone can ignore these topics posted, even Pinball one has them because many people are seeing it really is Clown World were living in when you have complete Satanists Running the world with Organisations like The World Demonic Forum, World Hoax Organisation and The United Nazi's

Anyone that speaks out about all the Covid, Vaccines, Climate....were the ones that are called idiots even when the so called conspiracies are presenting themselves factual, that's with the mainstream media doing there up most to combat their own lies, cover it up still and cement it in history with Drama Shit Shows like Breathtaking but they cannot hide it for ever so now even GB News are having to mention things that BBC and ITV refuse to like Excess Deaths and White Rubbery Clots

Well how many here believe the Bull on TV that Cows Farting and Burping is harming the planet, I mean come on if that's not laughable what is and Climate Change Charlie helps to fund the poor brainwashed kids that are making Burp Capture Masks for Cows. Clown World Part 3 right there :ROFLMAO:

I wasn't going to participate in this thread anymore as it felt like it was going in the direction of getting too personal rather than having a constructive discussion regarding what can be considered controversial subjects. It's a somewhat serious topic so whenever I voice my opinion on such things I try to make it light-hearted and it's nice to read your guys thoughts on such matters.

Personally, I don't subscribe to a lot of theories, flat earth/mud floods/aliens/microwave radiation just to name a few. But I do believe that ancient civilisations were more advanced in many ways when compared to today. My own experience when researching some subjects too much is that it gave me a distorted view on reality which in turn affected my mental and physical wellbeing.

From an objective point of view, when it comes to the term 'conspiracy theorist', a conspiracy can either be theoretical or it can be factual. Not all conspiracies theories are true, nor are they all untrue. If something is factual then it's no longer a theory. If I wanted to stop critical thinking, what would I do? I'd come up with something that made people feel embarrassed, guilty and something which stops them questioning specific things and to me the term 'conspiracy theory' fits the bill perfectly.

Rather than blindly believe random people on the telly/internet/real life etc that are not speaking from an impartial point of view, I tend to use common sense when pondering over some subjects. And a lot of subjects these days don't pass through my common sense filter, so I tend to question those subjects with other like minded people. It's only going to get harder believing what you see and hear in the future so it's best that we still use common sense rather than repeat someone elses belief.

I've spoken my truth in various topics so I'm not going to repeat myself. Everyone is experiencing life from their own perspective. We all have different personalities which can sometimes conflict with one and other, and if we can't discuss our perspective with each other in a civilised manner then we should ask ourselves why we can't.
