I don't know how/where to test on the filter board

There are connectors on the filterboard on the short side of the main cage that provides the power-in. They'll be the ones with white and yellow wires. White is GND and yellow is +5v. I usually poke the probes of my multimeter into the backs of these connectors beside the wires (the black probe into a white one and the red probe into a yellow). You can do this whilst the game is off to avoid shorting anything before turning the machine on.

A better place to measure the voltage is on the board itself but I can't remember where off the top of my head. The filterboard should be good enough though.

Getting 4.93v
Increase it?

Yeah, up it to 5 but it's looking like either the IO board or main stack is faulty, I'm afraid. At 4.9 ish mine just about run but the 3D drops out

4.99v and still same. New I/O board first then?

I've probably got one if you get stuck finding a worker. Although you'll have to bear with me digging it out from the spares cave

Just managed to get the pc / Screen / Sound working on mine (Its a MAME one though) Testing the system 2 / System 3 stuff and works a treat !



Can i ask what size the view change buttons are ?? Could you send a good pick. Need to add to mine , I have purchased some but as usual they arrive and they are tiny !!!

Remove the boards from the cage, separate and reseat them.
If that still doesn't work, it'll be a matter of swapping out boards to see which one has failed, but that'll mean having access to another working stack to troubleshoot. It's a shame you're in bournemouth... D'you ever get up to Kent?

Sadly no, and I don't drive!
Taking apart and putting back together I thought would be next step but I think that has already been done prior to me getting it.
