Hi there, we're trying to get a Crisis Zone cab up and running but the gun is refusing to calibrate. Behaves erratically, sometimes screen will invert. Have tried most things (cleaning gun lens, cleaning glass, cleaning mirror, replacing camera, etc) but nothing seems to work. Any ideas?

Gun uses a black and white camera ..

Totally diffrent system to other time crises games ..

Camera is light sensitive to ..
Direct sunlight will interfere with the camera ..

Messing with calibration.

f the gun isn't tracking correctly, verifying the camera and its connection, as well as the gun's IR emission,

I think you can see the guns IR Through your phones camera to varify the guns ir is working.

This link will help

Guns have been checked with phone cameras and are good and strong. Arcade is low-light environment. Will verify camera connection.

Have you tried without glass and mirror
just to see if it picks up the dot on the green board at back ( I think it is?)
Can you see the dot?, you can then adjust camera position at same time and see if anything happening on screen.
Ihas the gun got a bright enough light coming out?

Have you got flourescent or led lighting in the room (even it's it's not that bright)? These types of lamps can interfere with it if I remember correctly.

When I had issues I stripped it back to what I suggested.

I had a issue where it would come and go, bad tracking rather than no tracking.

Can’t even remember what the issue ended up being, I just cleaned and adjust mounting positions and stuff I think.

The problem we're having is that the reticle will dance around the lower portion of the screen really quickly and erratic. There is some control, depending on where you point it, but in some parts of the screen it's just Nope, and sometimes the X or the Y will invert themselves.

I had same thing ..
I’m sure you have a bad camera.

The link I sent - is that not a guide on how to swap a camera in ?

I've put out a wanted post for a new camera assembly, but nothing's forthcoming. If you can use most any black and white camera, should be easy to pick one up on amazon or ebay.
