So im not talking about the likes of toobin, or a 4p cab, mainly jamma cabs or things like pac-man, DK..standard sized cabs in general

trying to work out if i can fit a few into the space i have before i tell the wife that is what the space is going to be used for :ROFLMAO:

hehehe ... I do make a point of asking about the width when I can on cabs ... because I think it's not always information that's easy to find online (even on 'db' sites)

if it helps ... I put the Lordsvale measurements somewhere around these parts ... ... I'll nab you a Naomi Universal Width in a second ... and a VF1 cab, too ...

That's a few to make a nice average, at least ... in addition to what you've already got / know about. :)

Just had my Pac-Man delivered today (cheers, Martin) and it's currently standing right in front of me in the sitting room. Lol. It's a bit bigger all-round than a typical jamma cab. 63cm wide and noticeably deeper at 84cm.

Anywhere from 60-70cm in general depending on the game. As you say some specialist games will be bigger. Silverline and bas jamma cabs are less than 60cm which makes them very good for small places. Nintendo cabs are 59cm but they are deeper than most as well. I have played arcade cab jenga many times. This is quite a good resource https://www.aceamusements.us/arcade-video-game-cabinet-weights-and-sizes.html

Check www.arcadeflyers.com for individual cabinets. Almost every dedicated cabinet has it's measurements listed on the flyer, and Electrocoin JAMMA cabs info is readily available.

Toobin is not as big as you think........only 64cm wide which is about average for most dedicated cabs. It is a bit deeper than most though

I could have SWORN that there were bigger and smaller Toobin cabs ... as the one that the retrocollective just got is almost miniscule!

EDIT ... looks like this was me inflating things based on my childhood.

Yeah, plus, because of it's wedged design (unique-ish? ... or at least one of the first to do it) you can bring it in through a smaller gap by tipping it lengthways ... and angle it this way ... angle it that way ...
Ha! Got a Blast City through the front door that way with the control panel and monitor removed! Was a tight squeeze – still need the room left or right to manoeuvre the fuggin thing! 😆

If going straight in, I can take it within a few mm. I now know when it’s too big and have to pass up on the offer, even when it is very tempting, been there and it isn’t pretty!
