Damn it, I want to go look at the back of all my cabs now to see if the same guy did mine 😆

Good idea, nice little project.

Ok I was about to point out that there was at least 2 variants of the Bally Midway side art, the one like you have on your Centi (see pic) and the one that's on the Rampage flyer (see 2nd pic of that style art).

After looking closely at the differences though I noticed the side art with the extra red stripes looks like they may actually be speed lines and the round circle (see arrow in pic) may actually be a puck? There was an ice hockey game made by Bally Sente called Hat Trick, now my theory (that I came up with 25 seconds ago) is that the cab they used for the Rampage flyer was actually originally made for Hat Trick and that game came out in 1985 then when Rampage came out in 1986 they thought feck that, let's get a decent game in it. I could be talking rubbish of course but I think that side art may have been designed for Hat trick!

What do you think? Puck, or don't give a puck 🤣

Electrocoin Midi Mk1

This would have been a nice little cab, smaller than the Mk2 and similar designed Taitel T83 but it was bad condition, would have needed at least 70% of the cab remaking, sides swollen, base wasn't even flat so it was like a rocking chair, had LCD, crap wiring and falling apart which was a shame and most of it painted black, smaller than others due to being 14" screen so not as deep

I believe the glass and marquee from this could be the ones on eBay ?

I really like the blue colours on it, some of the alternative ones are much better colours than the standard centi, Rampage I like, Green would have looked great too

That's what I thought for a while with the name but spelt different but hadn't noticed the artwork on these Bally Sente games as not ones I look at much

So yes with the same cab for Gimme A Break, Street Football would have been in UK Centi and we can assume they used the artwork from these for Centi keeping it all linked

So do we know what years they started making Goliath and Centi cabs?

I really need to write things down. I did a load of research on release dates years ago but can't remember. Off the top of my head I think the Goliath was around 1982 ish? I'll look into again. The Centi my guess is around 84 but not sure. I'd love one these..Screenshot_20251120_200454_Chrome.jpg

Interesting, though I'll stick to real ones

Yes it's a fantastic effort except for the upside down bezels of course :)

Check out the Cains Amusements VR arcade too. Alan Meads and his students made that one. I spent ages getting him high quality images of the Electrocoin marquees and measurements for fine tuning etc for the Goliaths. It's hard to appreciate in the youtube vid as it's lower quality but the Goliath models are really good although the one thing he didn't have time to change was how skinny the joysticks were. The arcade looks fantastic when you're in VR!

I think this is the vid with the updated Electrocoin marquees. There's also Duets, Midi, EC Chase HQ and a Streets defender.

Le Mans Sitdown, used to see them on ebay but I thought they were strange looking cabs, question is what it was like to play, did those ones move?

Real shame we can't have space to keep everything, some cool stuff we let go
I loved it .i really did .i sometimes rate it close to outrun
It moved but was a crude mechanical thing ,so you were basically moving yourself.still effective though
Seriously heavy cab .i remember 3 of us lifting it out of van ,near lost my fingers .dont think the others were lifting lol
Why would they ,its the craziness of collectors to own such things ,so we should take the weight
It was in Blackpool pleasure beach most of its life .
I sold it to a member on here .
