Any one use Logitech
Xbox 1 wheel for ridge race can share their analoge settings ?

Also chase HQ accelerator is proving a little confusing for my brain ..

So delux type cab and convertion cab is analogue accelerator but standerd cabs are not analoge accelarator.

If anyone uses Logitech with chase hq & csi aka chase hq -2
love to know config set up that works with pedal 👍😊

Ridge Racer:
Open
mame.ini and set the max saturation to 1 (default is .5. .i.e. 50% turn is a full turn) and the deadzone to 0.0. AFAIK the default deadzone is .3 (30 percent!).

Then go into the game service menu F2 and calibrate.

Sci / Chase hq
The pedals and hi/lo gears are simply on off buttons so map your button 1 to gas pedal and button 2 to brake. Sometimes you have to invert the axis if the game detects gas or brake is on when you foot is off and vice versa.

There is something you can do for the hi/low in the game cfg file but I can't remember. Same shifter type in outrun. Google "mame shifter outrun cfg" and it should come up.

And disable those inc dec in your config. Not used when you have a wheel.

Upright and even my sitdown Chase HQ have switch pedals for accelerator and brake, I'll have to look at the DX Manual and see what that has
Continental Circus uprights have switch pedals too but sitdown has stepped opto for pedals

I've not played Chase HQ on mame that I remember but before buying machine I used to play it on Raine Emulator and it worked awesome on that with Thrustmaster FFB wheel and Pedals

If this is modern mame you can adjust the deadzone inside it easily enough without ini fiddling, defining the pedals is a bit weird though, you have to repeatedly define it to go from axis, to +axis to -axis, this you will deff need to do with wheel and pedal set ups.

Mame is almost preferred for m2 at this stage. One of the super model developers Mathew Daniels took an interest in it and has made a tons of updates over recent months.

For link play though you still need m2 emulator for all the sega m2 games and the jbmame for ridge racer.

Keeping eye on this commit:

It has the code for link play for a bunch of systems including m2 and namco racers but it's languishing there for months unfortunately.

M3 needs supermodel as it's not well emulated in mame yet.
