This release has certainly caused a lot of excitement and interest this week on the forum which is great ! It also shows that a lot of people want this which is great and therefore it should be successful.
I feel optimistic we will see a premium product and I think it has been well priced personally. My hopes over time are the entire back catalogue is available , development and official backing for game makers to produce new titles with wider circulation of their products( plus accurate release dates) all leading to a larger audience for this cherished and iconic system .

It has the same av out port as the original apparently. So can be directly plugged into crt displays. Not sure where it’s made.
My problem is when I get something sealed I want to leave it sealed ..

How many people will want to do the same or both and get 2
One to keep sealed ..

I May jist hold bck
I may buy it today as temptation grows ..

But like a lot of first to market products a second may follow slightly better than the first ..

But maybe not as well..

Analogue out quality we will just have to wait and see will be supprised if we don’t see a rgb upgrade mod in the first days of its release 😊

Will grab a few games
My aes original will keep my undivided love for now ..

But iv told it
It better watch its back
If a newer better looking younger model comes along it’ll be on your Tod mate go on !
Out you get !

The Roads to victory’s that way mate !

You’d assume theyre not going to let the ratio be changed to 16:9 which would require a border which would suggest they’ll then likely include other “upgrades”

Although never understood the appeal myself outside them being on an actual crt

Out of interest what chasiss tubes was in that ?

Being as it was early vga game ?
Three 33" tubes. High-end Mitsubishi monitors by the looks of it (same tubes as the Mega View presentation monitors).
It's not VGA though, just standard 15kHz - Namco games used interlacing to get 640x480 out of basic monitors - I've got boards hooked up to an old TV via my supergun for testing.
