Nice podcast ten pencers.
But commiserations on your techno woes. 'Specially, you Shaun. My trusty old PS3 gave up the ghost just before New Year. 11 years I'd had it. So I know how you feel. Then one of my MAME PCs died in a freak cat-related accident. Good news is, I've got a new one all set up using Rich Chunksin's Groovytime image. And it's great! What's even better is I got a cheap SFF machine off eBay with an AMD A8 processor, with built in Radeon R7 graphics. And it can do 15kHz with CRT Emudrivers from the integrated GPU! Seems to run everything I'm likely to play on it at full speed too, including the CAVE games I've tried. Only tricky bit was tapping off the audio and 5V for a mini amp, so I could output the sound from the PC to the JPAC. But even that's just a few bits of wire. Anyway, the point of this ramble is, that the new PC is for my vertical cab. And when I was going through the ROMs to set up my favourites list, I remembered your whitterings about Uncle Poo. So I gave it a whirl. What an absolute gem! I'm stuck on level 4 on the middle diamond. But when I get that one down, I'm going for the record!

As for Super Trio. It's another Amiga game! A very polished one, with smooth graphics and some nice ambient background tunes. But an Amiga game nevertheless. Gotta say, I never saw this one back in the day. And if I had, I doubt I would have played it. From a modern perspective, however, I can see it has its charms. I quite like the Track n Field / Hypersports rip-off bonus stages. But it ain't no Uncle Poo!
Edit. PS. I've posted my score on Arcade Sidekick.RygarR2020-02-02 21:40:28
