Just debating which is going to be easiest way connecting these up

Got 6 speed shifter I want to add, can't remember what cabs they came from, got them from Forum Member number of years back, they are mixture of switch for forward/back of stick
Sensor left sensor blocked for 1/2 middle no sensor 3/4 and Right sensor blocked 5/6

Sega Ketz 4 speed is 3 switch operation same as above with switch for forward and back and 3rd for 3rd on for 1/2 off for 3/4

I was going to take apart the Act Labs ones I have to see how they are done as originally planned using act labs usb adaptor for it and could well still be using those lol, that's 8 way shifter that operates 8 inputs in windows test so is it 8 switches or some matrix setup?

Thats what I need to work out, separate switch for each gear? or not

Anyone messed with similar?

I think one switch for each button , But just looked and cant see any default setting. Been ages since I used MAME, I need to get my damn cab started again.

I have a ' Hi / Low' Type one that I use software so it goes though the gears.

Someone did write some code for a small controller for the Ketz, they used to be on here, but turned shifty with posting sales and disappeared! You could just find a way to make it hit 4 switches and if PC based use one of the cheap zero delay game controllers.

You could also look at one of the several 3D printed sim shifters, how they did it and supplied code. I made my own print for a H shifter and hacked a keyboard I think :D Dinput is best for PC stuff.
