Defender (currently sporting a fashionable LCD and 60 in 1 board, will be changed to original monitor/boardset when I find a boardset, please let me know if you have a spare)

Tron - Optical Enocder gone, new one on order, hopefully arrive before opening

Drop me a PM - I can help out with the Defender board set - after a recent fixing spree I have more than enough to look after our machine in the office for the foreseeable future - you can even pick the colour of the ROM set you would like :)

Also I'm only over in W2 with a Tron _and_ a Defender so if you need to borrow any spares - not limited to boards, control panels (I have 3 Tron ones!) then let me know

Alex

Hi Simon,

Thanks for the excellent evening last Saturday at the Barcade!!!!
Was a great atmosphere, even though I was sweating loads after finishing SW Trilogy on 2-3 credits...(fanning technique). ;-)

Was there with Alex (ChuckieEgg) and Roger (RCantor).
Also met James (RGP) and Craig (Smidsy).

I really recommend we all try and visit this great place! :)

Cheers,
DaveO.

Here are a couple of links for clips:

http://www.londonlive.co.uk/news/retro-gaming-making-a-comeback
http://www.londonlive.co.uk/programmes/london-go/clips/watch-this/london-go-23rd-july-2014-street-fighter-2-to-tron

Was a good show, 30 minutes at the Four Quarters with news in between.

The clips don't show all the current machines, but the 30 minute show did go round them all (including the Gorf/Invaders/PacMan and 2 pinballs).

Yes Alex, in the 30 minute show, they did show your brickwork.

Thanks DaveO, good to see you and glad you enjoyed it!

You will always be remembered as the first person to smash one of the high scores, but refuse to put it on the high score table as it 'wasn't up to your usual standard'

Yep, she is a lovely lady, I spoke to her at length after being fascinated watching her play. She was explaining that BITD they had some defender competitions and she was the SE London champ. She was wants to try and get back in contact with some of the other people in the competition and run it again 30 years on.

Yes, and all hand made in our basement. It does stop people putting drinks on top of the machines (also throwing away any drinks found on top of machines immediately stops people putting drinks on them)

Maybe Edinburgh needs one of these?

We get that quite a lot 'The next one needs to be in XYZ,ABC,etc...' Last night it was Shoreditch! I explained that was unlikely as Shoreditch is only 8 stops on the tube (18 minutes) away from the current venue.

Edinburgh would be interesting, hmmm... regular holidays to Scotland...
