Hi guys, just a fun little treat.
I can't think of another actor who has had So many awesome iconic film soundtracks to their films as Arnold Schwarzenegger's early run of film from 82 to 91.
I'm talking about actual film orchestral scores, not added music talent like say Survivors - Eye of the Tiger in the Rocky 3 soundtrack.
Here's some corkers to enjoy while fixing your machines 😉

Completely agree, and I'm often moaning that modern movies desperately miss these distinctive musical themes.
Yes, totally agree. Modern films don't have identifiable scores.
Interstellar is a more recent brill soundtrack but that's why it's so regarded by people now, because there's not much about. Perfume: The Story of a Murderer and Moon are another couple of more recent excellent soundtracks.
The 90s had some amazing soundtracks Braveheart, Bram Stoker's Dracula and Gladiator to name a few.
But Arnold seemed to have so many bangers on his earlier films. Some good composers helped like James Horner, Brad Fiedel, Jerry Goldsmith, Basil Poledouris, Ennio Morricone.

Quite like the 007 stuff myself, Love the Orchestral based theme songs and some great bits through the movies, got most of the film CD Soundtracks

I'll have to listen to some of the above a bit more as sometimes don't take as much notice as I should

Frantic Soundtrack album is pretty good, got a few Elm Street ones also, quite like John Carpenters work too
These mixes I like, have some movie theme stuff in them, 2nd one at the end from Shine on you crazy diamond I especially like

What about John Williams? Star Wars, Indiana Jones, Jaws, E.T. etc.
Yes 👍, that's the amazing composer of so many awesome film soundtracks. But i was on about that 80s streak of arnold films that seemed to have brilliant rocking themes. Just weird how one actor had so many recognisable scores to his early works. Maybe it was his type of films in the 80s, the production push behind him or just the inspiring look to him and his films in that excitingly great era! Definitely Clint Eastwood is up there because of his Ennio Morricone collection of great soundtracks. But Arnold had so many different great sounding score to his films from different composers. Conan the Barbarian, Terminator, Running Man, Total Recall etc.

Harrison Ford is a great shout, as is Clint.

Aside from that, 80's megastars like Sly, Tom Cruise, Eddie Murphy and Michael J Fox all have some iconic soundtracks with strong themes - just not as many. Your Bill Murrays and Kevin Bacons might be strong rivals but they weren't often headliners. There are prolific actors in following decades but then we're entering the forgettable soundtrack era.

You're right Shipwreck, for quantity and variety there's no beating Arnie.

Star Wars is more of a joint cast soundtrack.
As if Arnie isn't already smashing it you shit on the competition by adding that rule.

Got Jaws OST, it's awesome on the big speakers title and first kill tracks
This was my first introduction to Jaws music when i was a little. Mid to late 70s i was sticking this on my little bedroom record player. Had the old Greenland and South Docks leading on to the Thames outside the bedroom window, so very atmospheric. Love the cover.
