adding gifs?

I didn't see this anywhere (probably missed it), but is it possible to upload gifs in posts?

Think gifs work like adding a regular image. Click the 'full reply editor' (diagonal arrow icon) just above the reply text box. Place the cursor where you want the gif inserted and click on the 'insert image' icon (the little tree).

it was a genuine question because I didn't see it explained anywhere. Its obvious now that the option appears when you try to post a picture. I posted the first gif I found to see if it works.

I am semi-curious though, is the troll comment strictly about this post, or related to something else?
