I don't really like doing this kind of thing really, but these messages got to me a bit today.

Perhaps if a few other people could give this a look over and an give me an opinion it would be appreciated.

Sure, I suppose I was a bit cheeky about buying the cab but it was all meant in good spirit. I meant what I said about the freebie.

I didn't think suggesting an offer for an item is frowned upon on this forum.

Anyway, take a look if you don't mind. I've removed names.

Cheers.

Well why didn't you just say you wanted f**king £115 and you would have got it instead I get a load of bull sh*t messages ?
£115 is a good deal so next time just say you want £115 instead of asking me to send you a offer
I don't get it
Good bye

Wow that's a pretty sharp reply!

Offering me £100 and wanting postage included when I clearly said "anything over £110" is taking the Mickey.
I would have sold that to you for £115 and you would have got a great deal.

The item is no longer for sale.

I tell you what
Next time someone asks you how much do you want for it? just say what you f**king want, and don't reply with make me a offer ?
What do you want me to offer £109 ?

That would mean I'd be paying you a tenner and postage cost for the game, not the best deal in the world tbh.

Cheapest loose complete one on ebay atm is £250 ono, so mine is still well cheap.

I tell you what, you sell me your ........... cab and I'll give it to you for FREE

You are not the only one who has suffered from this, I got s really sh*tty email from someone because j hadn't replied to their message as soon as it was read, askin for an explanation as to why I hadn't replied and saying that they were disappointed in me and that we could have been friends.

Seriously, I know that most people here are decent but there are snd really maladjusted nutters about too!

Don't let it get to you, just hope they gong know where you live!

My honest opinion is you asked for an offer then said it was a pi$$ take... I have got to say if you had said the price it may have played out differently! Yes you said it cost you £110 so make an offer over that but the reply was an offer. You should have just replied with that it wasn't enough imo. Referencing to ebay saying one is £250 is neither here or there as we all know there is ebay price and forum price... why not just put it on ebay? (unless it already is

I'm not completely sure but I think the point here is that this DK Circus wasn't actually advertised as being for sale.

The way I read it, the mystery annoyed man was trying to buy it from Ianski, but Ianski didn't necessarily really want to sell it.

And he did specifically ask for an offer over £110 too.

Clearly there was a disagreement here - that much is evident - but the intended purpose of a 'Private Message' is exactly that; private. Please don't re-post the contents of PM's on the public forum for all to consume...

Ahh I thought it was something up for sale. I read it like being at an event spotting a game you wanted ask for best price and then offer what you think. Then walk away if no go :)

I never like it when I'm asked to make an offer either but there's no need for replies like that!
I think people need to be reminded that this forum is a happy place for happy people and not a w@nk place for w@nkers!

this is really a case of 6 of 1 and half a dozon of the other

the buyer hates making offers that's apparent, so do I

the seller wanted an offer

simples

the only underlying factor here is the seller did state something above £110 which means they gave a ball park figure which is sort of important to do

main thing is rudeness was unnecessary

either way its 6 of 1 and half a dozon of the other

Fair enough, the potential buyer may not have liked being told to 'make an offer' however in my opinion if he didn't want to be put in such a situation then he should not have sent a PM to try and encourage Ianski to sell his item which otherwise wasn't for sale.

But yeah in the big scheme of things, it's handbags.

Forget about it and move on

Thanks for the comments I do appreciate the opinions.
I still respect the poster and probably caught them on a bad day.

I was a bit gutted about the comments, especially as I was trying to give the person a good deal.
It did feel like a smack in the face when I was trying to be honest about what the item cost me and I got a lower offer.

Anyway, I didn't become a member here to cause grief. Moderator, please lock this thread so there's no bad feelings.

I think it's pretty shameful behaviour.

The wannabe buyer strikes me as a nasty and rude piece of work. There's no excusing it. If I was on the receiving end of that I'd have laughed at the guy. Then told him to f**k off and don't ever think about trying to do business again. Oh yeah, I'd also have PM'd the few friends I have on here and warned them off.

Hate that sort of behaviour. No call for it.

Ha! I get that all the time in real life. Like I give a sh*t. No. You're not disappointed in me. You're disappointed I wouldn't give you what you haven't earned and don't deserve. So f**k off and take your disappointment with you. The cheek!

Hey ........ It cost me £110, so make me an offer over that.

Ian.

How difficult is "make me an offer over £110" to understand? The rest is just flannel.

tbh I still think the it cost me £110 so above that then a counter of £100 if not that bad. If worded differently the the reply could have been... I can offer £100 now as that is all I have but can't manage the extra atm... Perhaps I shouldn't carry on sentences in my head
smiley9.gif
I still would have replied with "Thanks but its not above £110, I'll keep it in mind" kind of reply. Gotta love this hobby of ours! Also wtf is a DK Circus and do I want one?
