Announcement: Passing of John Bud

It's with great sadness. We have to announce that we have lost forum member John Bud.

In the unlikely event you were dealing with him and have an outstanding transaction, please respect the family right now and try to hold fire to give them time to mourn before reaching out. You can of course reach out to an admin or moderator if you just need to make us aware of any outstanding dealings and maybe we can then contact the family at the right time on your behalf.

For those that live nearby, it will be possible to attend the funeral, details are:

Dalnottar Crematorium (Clydebank) at 2.30PM on Friday the 29th.

I last seen John about 8 weeks ago and he was still upbeat and determined to beat this. He was still buying cabs and had so many plans 😢

Ah man, this is terrible.

Such a kind soul, it was always a pleasure to catch up with him in person.

First time I met him the whole country was grid locked with snow but he’d somehow made it down from Glasgow in a mate’s clapped out old transit to pick up a Robotron.

I opened the door having never met him and there he was clutching a big bag of skunk and a tinny. Come to think of it pretty much every time I saw him he had a big bag of skunk, lol.

RIP John. Legend of the UK scene.

Even if you had never met John, you will have heard of him. I can't think of many other names in this scene that you can say that about. The many warm tributes are very telling. RIP John...
