Just for fun and to explore the capabilities of the VSTCM, I made Defender run on the VSTCM and it is converting graphics from raster to vector on the fly (apologies for the pitiful camera quality)...

I've just added a monochrome option to the code on Github (https://github.com/english1234/vstcm) so that it works better on monochrome vector monitors. Here's a test of Tempest on a G05 from an Asteroids Deluxe. I've used the max value of RGB for the Z input as a starting point (I tried averaging but this didn't seem as good).

For anyone building a board, just a quick correction made to the downloadable BOM text file today: U3 is a LP2950 3.3V and not 5V. The schematic and PCB were already correct. The text file on Github has been updated.

Someone on K.L.O.V just built a board and got it running. I also added a PDF with screen grabs to show the programming process for the Teensy.

Hi, sorry to resurrect an old thread.
Fantastic work! I built one but I am getting funny squigly vectors on my g02-805. Please see the pictures. Any ideas what could cause this? The crosshatch from my asteroids board is not like this so thinking it’s not the deflection board.
