If you're still in the area, there used to be a few arcades at Burnham on Sea just down the coast. The pier especially was the place to go back in the day.

The time I went to Weston a while back, the only thing I really played on the pier was the Spiderman pinball table they had. It kept giving me free credits too. I felt kinda sorry for it. "Please play me, please don't go..."

I can't remember what else was there, except like an indoor go-kart track or something, and lots of redemption.

Trago Mills off the A38 between Ashburton and Bovey Tracey might be worth a visit

Some years back I think they had an OutRun Deluxe sitdown and some other old school classics

Anyone been there recently?

There's this video on YouTube of their "Edwardian Penny Arcade"

Trago's Classic Arcade. - YouTube

I live near there and went there end of last year. Things have moved on a little, The Outrun is long gone and while there is a bunch of cabs there, they're mostly broken things like a half working Final Furlong, Need for Speed, RADIKAL BIKERS, a Battle gear, and a rather scruffy looking Hook pinball table. The place looks like it hasn't had any love for a long time, there's a newer "arcade" closer to the main shopping building but it's got LED encrusted chinese import machines, and the weirdest PC bootleg version of Daytona running on an LCD modded Daytona woody cab.

Tbh I wouldn't recommend going out of your way to visit the place unless you wanted to film a youtube video and call it something like OMG WE FOUND THIS ABANDONED ARCADE.

Also - There was another arcade room in the place around 30 years ago and it had a Galaxy Force II full motion cab and thats the only time I have ever seen/played one.

I must admit it was curiosity that drew me to WSM, out of all of the suggestions on here. The only other video arcades I could find were down the street opposite the pier, as you said Tony; the Olympia and Golden Gate. Mostly populated by slots and coin pushers, with a couple of the larger Raw Thrills type of cabs.

Big up to the crew at history of video games in Bristol. Just had my kids 9th birthday there this morning. Great set up, well worth it!!! Loads of old consoles too, as well the old school classics.
Will upload some pics when I reduce the file size ??
