I've done this few years ago...
Out Run 2 -> Daytona Twin cab', right here.
No regret! This twin is one of the most played games during game room sessions!

Looks great , so maybe 360 is the way to go , all games support FFB right ? so you could also use one of those fanatec wheels ,are they easy to mount in the cab ? also if i stuck a tri sync in there should be able to use VGA 640x480

Does anyone know what the differences are on outrun 2 on the original xbox and 360 ?

Thanks

you also have the problem that Outrun 2 is no longer for sale on the 360, go the PC route, it has Outrun 2 and every other version for that matter, as well as model 1,2 & 3 etc and ffb where it is supported, you can also wire up the VR buttons and shifter properly (I know as I have done this myself).

Yeah your right PC is best , its just Outrun 2 without FFB is a little annoying :( , would it be pos to get FFB in games like Chase HQ ?

Sumo did a sh*t job of FFB on the Outrun conversions, the Model 2 emu supports FFB, mame doesn't though you can use mamehooker to get it to an extent.

Edit, I've read Supermodel supports FFB too now.

ZedEx48k, do you have a link to a old thread relating to doing this, or is it possible to do a tutorial explaining this setup as I'd be very interested in this, I wouldn't know where to start doing this!

I have no links, I did it all myself with a bit of googling and a bunch of learning the software. Short version is you set up all the emulators/games individually then add them all in to one frontended list, the rest is just hacking a wheel to pots and buttons (snipping & soldering). Obviously there's more to it and I can help you out if you decided to attempt this, I have a backup of the software side of things which is straight usable or good to learn from, I also had Dreamcast games running too, but the emulator is bloody sensitive to analogue set up

Yeah my ID cab is multi emu'd it came as a shell.

I have a logitech driving force hacked in to the sega controls, and it works well with mame and pc driving gamers like or2 and also compatible with ps3 so I have initial D and ridge racer 7 etc.

I havent finished working on it yet but its playable, gonna get back on it soon. I also have Aganyte's force feedback L2M2 all done and ready to slot in for sega model 2 and 3 force feedback (massive thanks to Franco) I just need to get the time to sort it all out.

I'll get some pics up on the forum if its of interest to anyone.

Outrun 2 on the pc is still an incredibly fun game to play even without the force feedback, but im hoping to get the playstation 3 online version working with force feedback.

As soon as bloody real life stops getting the way of arcade fun!
