Not sure if this is the case here, but I remember having a discussion with Andy about something along those lines a few years ago and he politely informed me they were the right way round according to an original CP layout, even showed me a pic of one. I'd been playing it in mame for years before and it maps the jump and shoot buttons the wrong way round.

Anyone play Operation Wolf? I believe it's my old one there, I was sad to sell it being first Arcade machine I owned and first thing I ever bid on and won from eBay in 2001
I played this once, only 1 credit. A lot harder than I remember but it has been a long time since I played it.
Needs that rubber coating on the trigger. I remember playing an Op wolf at a pikey Traveller fair outside of Elgin in the Summer of '88 and that had no rubber on the trigger. Fucking weird the useless shit I remember lol

Cool, yeah it's challenging game but your finger really does suffer badly after a few goes lol. I've never seen one with any rubber on trigger, I've had 3 machines and spare guns, I'd like to see one with em on. Julian sold some NOS guns which some members bought, so they should have it if they came with em new

Yeah unfortunately that is the way the original is. I'm with you though, It's unplayable. All generic cabs that had it in bitd had the run/shoot button on the keft and jump on the right. The switch port is shocking. Run is a completely different button altogether 🤔

i mean, in AC the game is in a BAS cab i believe, so they didnt have to go down the trad route of button layout

I get the attention to detail and personal preference but this just looks like petty sniping to me. There's bits and pieces there to pull apart just like any arcade from any time in the past and present but what is the point of having a moan about it on a public forum?
If it bothers you that much then fill in a feedback form and see what comes of it.

I remember back in the day and how arcades started to convert cabs because they were a business and any asset was there for making money hence all those wonderful games got converted to jamma cabs so the arcades could survive. Fucks sake, I saw a Star Wars cockpit converted to Sky Kid! All I can guess is the vector monitor broke and the cab was there for parts / the op was bored shitless lol!

Yep those arcades would get smaller and smaller to the point they would disappear off the face of the earth and in some cases it was heartbreaking because I thought those arcades would be there forever.
How long will Arcade Club be here? Who knows? Hopefully decades.
A little positivity wouldn't go amiss.

I've deleted the above comment. I was having a bad day and on hindsight it wasn't fair to shit on Ac over 1 visit. I know Andy is passionate about what he does and is trying to make a living doing something good for Arcade fans. I guess it was just a bad day to visit. I'd much rather Arcades using real hardware existed than not. Apologies ExZx and hope no hard feelings. I'll end with a positive about Ac. Hard Driving! Hated it as a kid but that cab was working well and gave me a new found appreciation for the game.
