Remember this game in the arcade and it was in this Leicester one

Funny thing with this arcade we used to go in, I don't remember playing any of the games in there, maybe it was earlier days and I didn't have money at all then and it was with different mates than one I played Double Dragon with in the smaller Cascade

I can't remember many games from this arcade either but I vividly remember standing watching Indy jones, thought the mine cart part was super cool at the time as I really liked the movie and the mine cart chase was my favourite. I'm not that good on platform games but I'm sure it must have been a money thing at this point as I would of loved to have a go on it, graphics and sound at the time was awesome I thought

My only time playing Temple of Doom was via the C64 and this set I bought new as £9.95 for 4 games wasn't too bad and Road Runner was another cool Atari game, enjoyed Gaunlet too but I don't think Metrocross got a look in

So it wasn't until the early days of the Emulators I finally got to enjoy the arcade version and to put right the sad old days of only being able to watch the arcade I had to buy one, well I suppose it could have been worse and never even saw it, so at least being able to watch it and dream was something lol

I'm guess many of you got to play it in the 80s?

I remember playing Indy Jones at my local swimming pool (Prudhoe Waterworld). They had about 3 arcade cabs when it first opened but I didnt usually have enough to play any games. Just the money from my locker that would get spent on a Wham bar! They also had Rolling Thunder and a Space Harrier cab that I remember being broken.

Not many fans of it then? I thought it was one of the Popular games in it's day

Surprised they haven't done a later game on Indiana Jones in recent years for the Arcade to be honest

I have a soft spot for IJ... there used to be a few knocking about Blackpool. Who didn't want to ride the mine train after watching the film?

I have recently built a panel for my system one, but not spent any time playing it yet... it's a bit if a memory game which puts me at a disadvantage in my older age 😄

I'd forgot about your control Panels, nice idea that is with the cool artwork on the System 1 CP's, look great having all 5 in a row or 3 or 4 and others on cabs next to them :)

Absolutely love this game and would like to own one day, they just don't seem to come up for sale very often.
Thought there would be more talking about this cool game myself

To be honest they haven't come up for sale often since I started buying machines in 2001, has been a good few System 1 cabs for sale but most common to see was Marble Madness and Road Blasters for original cabs, which were what my 2 cabs where, then I sold MM like a fool as ran out of space, then a Indiana Jones cab came up on ebay, was USA cab but not sure if it was original Indy, unless it has label on back saying it could be any of them but originally I had to buy Indy Jones and Road Runner kits from USA which I paid about £600 ish for both, the guy posted them on a Friday and I got them on a Monday from America o_O they came in an original system 1 box the kits came in, only one box though

I thought it would be easier to get System 1 stuff than it was considering I saw Road Runner and Indy Jones in local arcades

That's how mine was with plain black sides

Road Runner is quite a good deal though, you can get Repro panels and Indy artwork, marquee and only need Rom Board and you have 2 games in same cab then

I always wondered how hard is it to find an IJ pcb? I do like a cabaret machine so thought maybe putting an original pcb into an old Atari cabaret cab, woodgrain sides, some custom side art and a shrunk down version of the System 1 control panel would be a cool thing to put together.
