Are they selling up?

I saw this (from a seller, who's sold nothing since August 2011, who ebay says is based in Wakefield)...
http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Online-Internet-Business-for-Sale-Arcade-Amusement-Machines-Sales-Home-Trade-/190836042209?pt=UK_B_I_Business_for_Sale_CV&hash=item2c6eb6e9e1#ht_3033wt_1399

Apparently 3 domains, 2 websites, etc., etc.

I then got to thinking "who's based up there and has a business, involving two websites, and specializes in selling refurbished machines and brand new manufactured cabinets between £800 & £1500?", and came up with...

http://www.williamsamusements.co.uk/

and

http://www.arcaderepairs.co.uk/

Who are both based in Castleford - merely a few miles from Wakefield and share the same phone number (so they would be the "two websites") and what are the chances of two identical, but completely unrelated, business operating (in such a specialized market), so close to one another?

Thing is... am I barking up the wrong tree?

Thoughts?...

I was there last week (believe it or not I got bargains from em) and they didn't look like they were emptying out or in a rush to dump cheap stock (I asked after a couple of things).

Oh and Wakefield is far enough away from Castleford to be the wrong place.

Williams & Arcade Warehouse is the only one (I can find) which fits the bill of having two websites.

Find Arcade Machines and Voyager Arcade may be two (out of the three) domains, but they point at the same website (so I'm struggling with the second website if, indeed, it is Find Arcade Machines).

Either way, going by the ebay figures (profit of around £30k in 2012) the actual online business doesn't make a huge amount of money.

Find Arcade Machines is a closer fit...

a) It's actually in Wakefield (rather than a few miles up the road).

b) It's owned by a production company and run by IT people (pretty much what the ebay listing says).

Still struggling to work out why the online business is only worth £24k, and why they only made £30k last year, despite selling arcade machines at up to £8k a pop.

Because people are not stupid enough to buy them at those prices

Have you downloaded the accounts from companies house? Presumably even if you do they will be abbreviated accounts which are pretty meaningless really. Very little information can be obtained from these as you will not see a Profit and Loss account.

The £30k profit you talk about is the turnover less the cost of sales AKA a net profit. After this there will be all administration expenses to deduct as well as presumably any salaries paid (including those to the directors of the company who are presumably also the shareholders).

Basically there is going to be a much lower profit than 30k when you see the full picture.

Also I'm pretty sure this has nothing to do with Arcade Warehouse/Arcade Machine Sales/Williams Electonics Ltd or whatever they are called at the moment.

Agreed; the general consensus does seem to be it's FindArcadeMachines/Voyager rather than Arcade Warehouse/Williams/etc.

It's nothing to do with arcade warehouse or JT, the second guess is correct. The same company also sells machines out of Castleford but isn't anything to do with Arcade Warehouse / Williams Amusements.

According to ARCADEWAREHOUSE.COM (which redirects to http://www.arcaderepairs.co.uk/domains.html) the company is now closed and the domain is for sale.

Is Arcade Warehouse no more?
