I finally got around to putting the legs (that I got off a guy on here a couple of years ago) on my Asteroids having painted them and bought new end caps from the US.
Previous work included:
Full cap kit on the monitor by a guy on here years back... he picked it up from Winnersh Triangle...
Fitted new glass (still got the original scratched up stuff (maybe it would make a good mirror?!)
Bought repro underlay and monitor bezel from the US
Fitted a high score kit and latest roms
Painted the glass clips
Replaced T-Moulding
Wood filled some damaged T-moulding insert bit and performed an 'interim' fix that looks tidy enough (good advice on here again)
Switched around a few of the button mechanisms to have the most responsive ones on Player 1
It came out for my 40th Birthday and went down really well (along with some other games)

The only down side to all this is I was playing it yesterday and the picture went... I get the sound and it plays but no image... boooooo... back to restoration then!
I was going to put some pics in the Restoration Showcase but I don't have permissions to do so ... guess it's a 'special area!
