As far as I understand it in this case they used an electronic interface into the Q Bert game (not pushing buttons etc.), so the AI has an advantage over humans because it is fast and has an exactly repeatable response. Humans can't do that well for any length of time.

I read recently that a Poker playing AI program won games by doing crazy things (oversized bets etc.) that humans never did. Perhaps that sort of crazy play could beat some fruit machines? Having said that, if a fruit machine is programmed on its input/output cash ratio then I doubt it would work.

Anyone on here know anything about AI?

Any AI Open Source stuff you've used?

(Humans are doomed lol).
