Hi lads, I know I have mentioned this before but I’m really struggling.

Does anyone know where I can get a composite mod fitted to an Atari?

I did buy a kit from the states but I royally balls’d up fitting it…

Does anyone know of a professional console modder out there who I could send my gear to or is there some one out there who If I sent them the relevant stuff would be able to take a stab at it for me?

Ive already lost one console to my incompetence and don’t trust myself to not break another one….

Has anyone done this mod themselves?

I did this mod on my 7800. I found it fairly straight forward to be honest, just read the instructions and followed them (there were some differences for PAL and my version of 7800 but it was all documented). Works like a dream on my big flat screen telly.

Ive never cracked open a 7800, I only have the one and was a bit hesitant to risk it

I did it on my one/only 7800 so I could play both 2600 and 7800 games on the one machine. Really need to rebuild my joysticks, my old CX40's are too annoying to make playing any fun. It was only really for the kids as part of there video game education. They kinda like it, especially 2600 Ms Pac.

I just did this mod on a 4 switch vader and it seems to have worked ok, I followed this guide

http://forums.benheck.com/viewtopic.php?f=57&t=1152

And soldered the wires directly to the chip legs on the underside of the board. Next step is to wire the joystick inputs directly to the Riot chip as I want to make a small Atari bartop with a Harmony cart.

One of my 6 switch woodies is currently on its way down south to get the love and attention it deserves, having the composite mod fitted by a man much more talented than myself

I'm still banned from the soldering iron
