Atari: Game Over Trailer

Maybe I should have put this in the console section of the forum, but the trailer seems to hint at a behind-the-scenes reveal of the Atari company in general during the early 80s. This looks to me like it is promoting yet another sensationalised "E.T. crashed the entire games industry" viewpoint, which I do not believe. I found this video a few weeks' back, which seems a more level-headed take on the crash:

I know this is all history now, but it interests me, so I thought I'd share.

Thanks for the link, they've made a decent trailer, let's hope then main event will provide some good accurate insight into the culture and history of Atari at the time.

I'll be interested to watch this when it comes out, shame it looks like its and Xbox exclusive video?

It's been a fascinating bit of history for 30 ish years so it will be good to see if they get some decent information about it

Being a mega atari (2600) fan, i'm interested in this, i've seen Nolan Bushnell do various interviews and documentaries where he as much as agrees with whats said in the truth about the crash video.

Mostly Warner are blamed for meddling in Atari because they didn't like how they ran the company.

Much like yourself James, I'm a huge Atari fan and have also seen loads of documentaries with Nolan Bushnell and Howard Scott Warshaw.
The trailer looks great, really excited!
