If this could be sorted, I'd more than likely buy one.

More thread bump:

I'd buy two. People on KLOv said they would buy them too.

I think the biggest issue is do you make a multipanel (and then I can only see support for some games, not all - maybe RR,PPR,IJ and MM) and get someone like Phoenix Arcade to make the art - or do you support the swapping of panels.

Support for both would obviously be rock n' roll.

Given the difference in controls surely you'd have to have the original panel support above all. Trying to remember them all but off the top of my head you have 2 trackballs, a steering yoke, a regular 8 way joystick and a hall effect stick. Still a multicart that supported all games would be neater and quicker to switch over :)

Hehehe. Macro answers just to find out which system1 is being talked about and next there are pre-orders being placed

How many are you pre-ordering? ;-)

If someone clever can take this on - i'll fund it.

still downsizing then? :) Next up you'll be in mame cab only world

Only got the one system1 cab - but this isn't for the above reasons you state. It's just f**king easier than having all the daughtercards + it would be f**king cool

Jeebus - there's a lot of ROMs on those daughterboards. And stuff that looks suspiciously like a CPU or MCU. I'll bet there's some PLDs too.

Can see why you'd want a multi-game for this, but it'd be a bit of a git.

biggest PITA is the slapstic, would either need a PAL programmed up to emulate each games one, or hack the code to all use the same - either way, a pain to test.

it would also need a very large PCB made up, the carts are HUGE.

but anything is possible, just don't see this one being economical - probably easier to re-do the entire circuit into one of the FPGA replay board - would work out cheaper as well

reminds me, Egg said he gave Rav my spare Atari System 1 motherboard to Rav - Rav if you are reading and this is so, let me know (cheers)

for controls, 49 way joystick (PP, Indy and RR), trackball for MM and I suppose you could use the joystick for RB, but wouoldn't be the same.

I think there is another system 1 game floating around as well - there was a version of relief pitcher on the hardware, no idea what controls it used though.

Problem is as well, I have all the carts (except relief pitcher) and 4 of the control panels already
