Hey all, just thought I'd post about the upcoming SOLD OUT 😵‍💫 public launch event for Base Arcade this weekend (May 13 & 14) in Belfast

It's Belfast's first pop up retro arcade experience ran by three friends...

• Freeplay machines
• 4 hour sessions (ticketed)
• 3 sessions on Sat / 2 sessions Sun
• All ages, and 18+ sessions
• Hosted at the Oh Yeah Music centre
• Alcohol for 18+
• Pins kindly provided by the Irish Pinball league

We ran a 'Very Important Player' soft launch to gauge capacity and test machines in situ, which you can see here:

Digging up an old thread, but I finally made it to the August event last Saturday night.
Great setup, felt like the numbers were just right no issues getting to play whatever you wanted and the 4 hours was about right for a session.
Went with a few mates from college so plenty of chances to catch-up between games.
It also reminded me that i need to play more Sega Rally & Time Crisis.

Thanks Gents, Great to see something like this locally & Hope it keeps succeeding.

Hey Pete, really pleased you had a good time at the event. It's great to hear feedback about our numbers cap with 4 hour time slot still working. Was a hard thing to land on originally but seems to be working.

As we get more and more machines play ready maybe we can let a few more in and still ensure everyone gets a game.

I might continue to update this thread and announce future ticket release dates and new game arrivals etc.

Another successful weekend at Base Arcade Belfast. Tried a new layout spreading more arcade and pinball machines further throughout the venue, and it worked a treat. A much better flow through the cabs and fantastic feedback all round thankfully.

Wanted to give the absolute hero @mozie a shout out for coming up for the weekend all the way to Belfast from Tipperary to give us a hand repairing a few things and generally just being sound as a pound.

Absolute killer moving all the machines back into storage in 23° heat today with just two people available for the break down, but totally worth it for a great weekend.

Roll on October 21st & 22nd for the next

Another busy Base Arcade event this weekend with an early Halloween vibe.

Managed to get our empty Point Blank cab up and running just in time, and themed up a woody for some Splatterhouse action.

Shout-out to @antray84 for shipping his Woody Jamma cab, it made an appearance as Wonderboy and the punters were loving it 👍

We also had Ghostbusters Ireland down raising money for Heart Children's charity, always a pleasure.

Haven't updated this thread in a while, but just thought I'd share some shots as we changed things up and moved to another location in Belfast for our Halloween pop up. Banana Block in East Belfast turned out great and we'll be doing another in December by the looks of it. Really cool spacious venue, with good beer and food on site which makes all the difference.
