Everything I buy seems to be 4.5 hours drive from Norfolk, so today was an 8am departure and 6pm return.. followed by about 40 mins of planning how to get it up the stairs by myself! Mrs Wahoobies is excused from lifting, but with some careful planning I wrapped/protected it and pushed/glided up with good old cardboard.
Up and running with RedZone for now, will tackle the original boarset tomorrow.
Only a few to-dos that I can see:
- bezel- reinforce a couple little tears, get into correct position
- re-apply red/green gels after calibration/screen sizing (match cutouts for radar etc)
- coin mechs- dismantle, lubricate, test.. I think the "big 10p" spec should work
- original board has a couple of worn traces to look at
- couple scratches on the front plexi- I'll read up and plan my scratch removal process
- fresh astroglide(tm) on the joystick balls
- add some cups for the feet + teflon for easy spinning round etc as needed
- monitor needs some permanent anchor bolts
It's mostly amazing, hats off to Tony for the work on this one.
