I was reminiscing with a mate recently about 'back in the day'... and we got to talking about the Beehive in Swinton (Manchester)....
Officially it was a 16 bit computer club in the back function room of a pub. Unofficially it was the hub of the Northwest's piracy scene where the latest cracks and demo's were copied and circulated.
Obviously I am not here to condone piracy (or admit my involvement!) but we used to have a good laugh down there (ahem - until FAST eventually raided it and closed it down) and I just wondered if any of the old regulars have crossed over to the arcade scene and are still lurking out there?
I was the skinny kid flogging cheap unbranded disks. I am reliably informed that one or two of them actually formatted without error!
