It's why a feedback system is so important, like what's on here.  I realise it is not 100% but you are less likely to have problems if the seller has good feedback.

I'd be less inclined to pay by paypal gift, if the user is new, or fairly new, or has zero feedback.

It just limits your chances of being stung

I've missed out on a few great deals just because member is new (2014) or has no feedback or no posts!
