Series one is pretty good - especially the way they turn it round and
make the baddie the goodie.

though. What can I say? I love that game. Love it, love it, love it,
mwah. I loved it when I first saw it, and played it two-player with my
brother back when it was new. The power-up mechanism was simple, no
nonsense, and gets the job done. I also hate it. Those end of level
bosses have a tendency to hit me with a curve-ball when they're one hit
short of dying. It's soo-ooo frustrating when you've made it almost all the way to the
end of level four without losing a life, and collected every single one
of those golden bonus stars, and then whap - back to the pea-shooter,
and your 50K bonus flushed down the toilet. Still, it got that
one-more-go factor. My best so far is 699,020, which is way better than I
ever managed in the before times. PS. Vic - I think it's about time the
podcast took a harder line on this autofire malarky.
