Hi guys, thought I'd post a quick problem/fix I had recently on my Black Knight. The symptoms were that it would reset occasionally when you pressed both flipper buttons simultaneously. Other than that the game played fine. I finally tracked it down to a dodgy connector between the power supply and main board for the 5v supply line. For you I've cleaned up the connector and verified it for good continuity. As a permanent fix I plan to replace the connectors at both ends.

Is that the huge long connector between both boards (and the boards overlap and connect directly? I can't remember what system this but if it's that one then the connector is only rated for 25 insertions, so by now they're well past their sell by date

I checked on IPDB - that's the connector! It's notorious for causing all sorts of problems. I had to replace the one on Bruce's Hyperball when I was working on that for him. When I was buying it was a right pain as I had to get it in from the US but pinball seems more popular than ever now so you never know it may be possible to get from over here now even if it costs a little more.

the logic supply to most pins has to be 4.7 to 5.2 volt.outside this it will act really weird and on the upper level cook the chips.may be an idea to rebuild the +5 volt line, its cheap easy and kits are available.as with most machines, ageing caps are bad news
