Sorry if posting this in wrong place....., but visited a new vintage arcade today in Blackpool. Thought would be of interest to you guys. Been open just a few weeks and looking to expand.

This is tucked away within the 'Brooks Collectables' shop on Waterloo Road with access also through the No.1 Rock Shop next to McDonalds on South Promenade. Owner is a collector and keen to expand the arcade section subject to fixing and transporting more machines there, mainly uprights.

Those seen were were pay to play (small silver I think). I went to pick up some pinball stuff and thought would be of interest. Good to see more vintage machines back in Blackpool I thought.

That's right, but think more interested in fixing, keeping and putting machines in the arcade now.

That Vanguard was still there awaiting collection.

Hah, it does... Only been open a couple of weeks though. Intends bringing some more uprights out of his collection to put in there when fixed.

I spoke to him a while ago. Came across as a nice chap. Told him to sign up to the forums as he wanted to sell stuff he had in storage. Forgot when I went now but was a few months ago.

Facepalm!

I spent 3 hours in Blackpool on Sunday on the way home from the New Frontier.

I walked past Mucky Dee's - and this arcade - twice.

If only I'd known

Ah thought so, met you at Luke's once ages ago (I'm in Freck). Yeah didn't get to RGP's last weekend either as at UKPP. Looks awesome though, roll on the next one.

Its too hidden away. There's a couple of small signs as you walk into the Rock Shop but he needs something outside to let people know it's there, particularly if gets bigger as planned.

Uprights: Scramble (in a Super Cobra Zaccaria), Frogger, Phoenix (off) (German), Carnival bartop (German).

Cocktails: Space Invaders x2, Galaga, Pacland, Hunchback, Scramble, Crazy Balloon, Popeye, Space Firebird, Crazy Kong, Pac-man, and Vanguard (off).

The prices varied a bit from 20p to 50p (2 games) for the cocktails. The Carnival was 20p but it ran on some crazy German money so he had to credit it up, and the stand-ups were £1 for two plays. I was happy to support this guy. He (Alan) said he's adding Defender and Moon Cresta cabinets to the collection soon.

There were also some old one-armed-bandits there that ran on sixpences.
