Lots of prices have gone mental. Amazon also have 4 cans of soup for £20 + £5 delivery. Be quick though - only 1 left!

I don't really buy any dvd's new from Amazon or the like anymore

Watching old programmes and seeing Play.com mentioned having supplied the prizes brought back memories of the old days buying films and box sets

Most of the DVD's and Blue rays are from Charity shops these days or CEX if there cheap enough

Guess anything at the moment that people will be buying because there at home, soon as they see increase in sales they just cash in on the demand, digusting but that's the mind set of most people these days, As the Glendale Monkey Egg Vending machine says, Money Money Money

I've already got enough box sets to keep me going long passed this virus, Dukes of Hazzard, Knight Rider, A-Team, Munsters, Friends, Sweeney, Minder, Miami Vice. Currently been watching the Avengers Anniversary Box set and the New Avengers set after, I'd never seen any of the older ones with Honor Blackman (RIP) last night but thankfully just from old age 94, She was pretty amazing in Avengers, having to learn Judo for the Series and doing the fighting scenes better than the men, very cool Lady though I did like Diana Rigg in them and look forward to getting to those later ones I used to watch Saturday evenings

There have always been people on Amazon and ebay with crazy high prices soon as any Film or Boxset sold out, just look at the joke of Friday The 13th Bluray boxset, I've seen people asking $1000, one on ebay now £850!! I would of bought a set when it came out probably if they had bothered to do part 3 in Blu Ray 3D but still old coloured glasses version

I literally just bought the Godzilla Criterion collection for £135. I can't see it being reduced any time soon.

Nice, I just sold The Third Man Criterion Blu-ray for £80, got a load more to go to, got 100’s of disks in the loft! (not all criterion)

I have 1000s of DVDs, we've been working our way through the James Bond films in the evenings over the past week or so. Have a whole mountain of films to watch and get rid of I picked up earlier this year when a guy at my work got rid of his whole collection for free. I'd been dropping them off down at the charity shops once watched. I can't imagine DVDs going up in price really. Maybe with hard times folks have stopped their Netflix/prime subscriptions and going back to the older ways of physical media.

Zavvi has plenty of box sets reduced down.

What's the crack with Criterion DVD's, what possess people to pay £80 for a Film??

Here's one for ya, I heard someone mention Contagion on TV last week, thought that name is familiar, had a look the other night and I have it on Blu Ray, Paid £1 from Charity Shop

Just had a look on ebay, Go back to Jan/Feb and it's £2 on DVD or Blu Ra

Now look at it, the more the Virus has hit the UK the more the cretins are paying for it, so it's jumped from £2 to £10, £20, £30 and showing them sold at £40

Just another example of the sad people on this planet, oh we have a Virus Pandemic, I must buy any film about a Virus and pay some absurd price for it, jeez man

Must admit that the current goings-on have made me lean towards some classic apocalyptic films of late, or at least when SWIMBO agrees to skip the girly rom-coms. Just the other night I had another blast of the original Dawn Of The Dead. Hordes of zombies in a shopping centre.... hmmm!

Quite! To be honest I felt kind of dirty paying £135, but I am a massive Godzilla fan and it's 15 films rather than 1. And it comes with a huge book with cool art.

That's my justification anyway

Link if anyone fancies spending £135 on some paper and a few bits of plastic: https://www.zoom.co.uk/product/godzilla_the_showa_era_films_19541975_the_criterion_collection_blu_ray

Thats different when its a series of movies and if its the only collection of them u dont have a choice sometimes, and under £10 each film thats ok, i got the royal tenumBaums as it was in a list of downloaded stuff from 2000 so been getting most on dvd, its a criterion one, would sooner it a normal dvd as takes up more shelf space certainly wouldnt pay extra, end of day i just wanna watch film, nice if there are some extras if 2 disc but all the fodder that goes with it is just more space gone

I get people watching these type films at the moment, will probably watch it myself, just dont get paying 30 quid for a 2 quid dvd just coz you dont wanna feel left out on facebook or Twitter.

Ive got the George Romero box set of those films to watch sometime, has original 80s Day of the Dead in the 3 which wasnt easy to find seperate

Other of those type films i like are Demons 1 and 2, first is better though in cinema lol
