Bouncer

I picked up a really nice haul of flyers recently and amongst them was a flyer called Bouncer. I'd never heard of the game before so did a bit of research on it and it turns out it was never commercially released. It was shown at an AMOA and put out for a very brief site test in small numbers but it appears no full machines actually exists anymore although there is a control panel and marquee.

The game looks brilliant as well, especially as it's played with a track ball. Such a shame we can't play it

Yeah, a couple of loyal people over the course of the last thirty years have pulled at every possible thread to find this game. Appears to be lost.

Bouncer was seen in the low budget martial arts film Ninja 3: The Domination. The game is in the main character's apartment and she is seen playing it. The main character becomes possessed by the spirit of a ninja, and as he overtakes her body, the arcade cabinet begins to bellow out smoke and hypnotizes her with a little laser show from the screen.

I rented that video but cannot for the life of me remember it.

Such a shame this game hasn't been found, Ninja films in the 80s was a favourite of mine and when I saw Ninja 3 with this is in I thought wow that's really cool game but couldn't find any info at the time in early days of internet

I'm sure I rented this vid but I was watching a hell of a lot of ninja films in the mid 80s so it's hard to remember that scene. Ninja/kung fu films and any film that we thought may have nudity in was what me and my mates rented. It was crazy that they let 10 years olds hire 18s.

Exactly what we would do at 14 /15 years old.
Go to the local newsagents that had a tiny selection of budget action films that were 18 rated (with nudity ) no questions asked on ID. Films that bad they were easy to forget.

I don't even know what started it off, could of been the games like International Karate, then mate at school told me about The Master TV Series on late night ITV probably 1985 as it was aired 1984 USA so I recorded a few

Then bought Revenge Of the Ninja VHS, can't believe how much they cut out after getting it on DVD. VHS had trailer for Monster Squad at cinema so probably 1987/88 as that was out sept 1988 here

I then bought Ninja The Protector which had more sex that fighting so I got my mum to take it back and get a refund, she said you sold it to my underage son which they did

Hang on a minute, It had more sex than fighting and you took it back for a refund?? I'd have gone back for a 2nd copy in case the noise bars got to bad on the 1st copy 😂

It was a really crap film anyway with crap fighting, I'd take a porn movie back if it had more crap fighting than sex also
