Bubble Bobble Boot (Bobble Bobble?) & Lost Cave

Definitely only in the planning phase, more curious at this point and info gathering.

Picked up a two board Bubble Bobble boot (bobble bobble/super bobble bobble iirc) from a vaccer and it's never been right but I've not spent time even looking at that basics (yet!)

Levels won't progress, you essentially get stuck at random after clearing a level.

Tempted to see if that can be fixed first, then look at converting it to the lost cave, if that's even possible with this set 🤷‍♂️

I believe it’s one of the single layer bootleg BB boards that can’t be converted to Lost Cave or Redux. As far as I know, all double layer bootleg boards are convertable.

On a previous BB bootleg I owned, I had to crank up the 5v a bit to around 5.10v-5.15v before it would work properly (was getting graphic issues if the 5volts was too low). I know you said your issue was different but might be worth checking/upping the 5v a tad to see if it makes any difference.

I may give that a go first then, in fairness it's a chunky PCB set so it may be that simple, hadn't thought.

Yeh its the single board , Stick a picture on of yours and I can tell you if poss. I have done a couple (Redux never bothered with lost caves).

I picked up a bootleg Bubble Bobble from a Vaccer and he had installed a switch so you can run both romsets. It's really good!
